Kathy Webster is a WomenHeart Champion who has lived with heart disease since birth. She became involved with WomenHeart by applying for and attending the Science and Leadership Symposium in 2006 and has served in many capacities with WomenHeart since then, including Support Network Coordinator, Midwest District Support Network Leader, and seven years on the governing Board from 2011-2017, including roles as Treasurer, Chair and Immediate Past Chair. She is returning to the Board in 2020.
Kathy earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology and a MA in Counseling and Guidance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She continues to be highly involved with the university through serving on two alumni Boards. Kathy retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City after 33 years of service, holding leadership positions in many functional areas throughout her tenure.
In her local community, Kathy has been active in providing education and support to women with and at risk of heart disease through in- hospital patient visits, support groups, health fairs, public speaking, and building alliances with medical providers.
Kathy and her husband split their time between the Kansas City metro area, where their son wonderful son Matt also lives, and Fort Myers FL, where it is warm in the winter!
